The tools we build for Proxmox VE, public since 2016. Written for our own daily work and released because other people needed them too.
If you have ever wanted to have something like RVTools that we have had for years in VMware environments, cv4pve-report is a tool that provides that functionality for you.
Adding the cv4pve-cli command has definitely changed how I think about and interact with my Proxmox VE Server environment. If you are running a Proxmox cluster and have started to feel the limits of managing everything through the UI, this is absolutely worth checking out.
Think of it as vCenter reimagined for the Proxmox ecosystem — except lighter, faster, and built with modern .NET technologies.
We write them because we need them: we run clusters every day and some things Proxmox VE does not do out of the box. Keeping them to ourselves would gain us nothing, while publishing them means other people try them, report problems and sometimes improve them. It is the same reason we use free software on client projects.
The tools are free and stay that way. Teams running them in production can buy support: it is how the development sustains itself, and whoever answers is the person who writes the code.

Features and integrations you need that do not exist yet. If they make sense for everyone, they end up in the public release.
